Please note that the Snowbelt games this week have been moved to SUNDAY 9/18.  The high school field at Windsor VT was flooded out so the games will be played at the Windsor Recreational Fields.  The 5/6 Grade game begins at 1PM and the team will leave the Bow Fire Station at 10:30AM.  The 3/4/5 Grade game will begin at 2:30PM and that team will leave the Bow Fire Station at 12 Noon.

On Saturday (9/10) the Snowbelt teams (grades 3-6) will open the 2011 season at home against Kearsarge.  The 5/6 grade game starts at 9AM and the 4/5/6 grade game will follow at 10:30AM.  Please have the players at the field 1 hour prior to these start times for warm ups.

We will be doing our team pictures on Thursday (9/8) right at 5:30PM sharp at the practice field.  Please have the players wear their full game uniform on that day. 

Players were given picture order form and should have them filled out with payments enclosed on picture day.  We do have some extra order forms at the field.

The JV and Varsity teams will travel to Kearsarge on Saturday (9/3) as follows: 

• The Varsity team will be leaving the Community Building at 7:30AM sharp
  
• The JV Team will also meet at the Community Building and will leave at 9:30AM

The Varsity and Jr. Varsity teams will be having a scrimmage on Saturday VS Concord.  The scrimmage begins at 9AM at Martin Field on Ironworks Rd. in Concord.  All players need to be at the field by 8:30 sharp for warm-ups.

The 3-6 grade teams have a scrimmage on Saturday 8/20 at John Stark in Weare for a 9AM start time.  Both teams will be meeting at the Fire Station for 7:45 am and we will caravan to the game.

Come join us for our annual Spaghetti Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, August 20th - from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Bow Community Building.  Enjoy some good food with good friends, while supporting our kids.  The players get in for free and may bring as many family members as they like for a small donation. Ages 6-12 and Seniors are $5.00, over 12 are $7.00. Children under 6 are free! Maximum donation of $25.00 per family.

Because this is our only fundraiser, we urge you to make every effort to attend.

Come and support your Varsity Bulldogs as they play in the 2010 GSFL Championship game on Sunday (11/7).  Game time is at 11AM at the Hollis Brookline High School.  This is the first appearance for Bow Youth Football in a Varsity Championship and it should be a great game!

Equipment turn-in for all teams except for Varsity will be held on Saturday (11/6) at the high school basketball courts from 8-10AM.  Each Player must turn in his/her game jersey, game pants, practice pants, 2 hip pads, 2 thigh pads, 2 knee pads, one tail pad, a girdle, a white belt, a blue belt, shoulder pads and helmet.  Please make sure that the equipment is cleaned and ready for storage.

Each year the Granite State Football League holds a tournament to crown a Jr Varsity champion.  This year we have been selected to host the event!  The tournament will be at the high school on Saturday, October 23rd beginning at 9AM.  We will need lots of volunteers that day so if you can help out please let us know ASAP!  If you know of any high school students who need community service hours, this is a great way to help us out in the process.

The attending teams are John Stark, Concord, Bow, Hollis-Brookline, Epping-Newmarket, Newfound, Monadnock and Pembroke.  Click here for tournament rules and format.

This week all four teams will be playing on Sunday!

Grades 3-6 will be hosting MV and wearing our RED jerseys for this match. The 5/6th grade game will start at 12:00 PM and the 3/4/5th grade game will begin around 1:30PM. Please have the players at the field 1 hour prior to these start times so they can warm up with the team.

Grades 7-8 are headed for Hollis/Brookline. We would like to travel as a group and will be leaving the middle school parking lot at 7AM (VARSITY) and 8:30AM (JV). We will be wearing our RED jerseys for the event. Wish us luck!!! GO BULLDOGS!!!

This weekend all four teams will hit the road.  Snowbelt teams are off to John Stark and the GSFL teams are headed for Hartford VT.  The teams will meet on Saturday to travel in groups as follows:

• 5/6th Graders are meeting at the Fire Station at 7:30
  
• 3/4/5th grade team will meet at the Fire Station at 8:30AM
  
• Varsity team will meet at the Middle School at 6:45AM
  
• JV will meet at the Middle School as well at 8:15AM

Grades 3-6 will need to wear White Jerseys because John Stark will be wearing red.

This weekend the leagues are split. 

The GSFL teams (Varsity & Jr Varsity) are traveling to Epping on Saturday (9/25).  The game is at the high school on Academy Ave.  The Varsity team will be meeting at the Community Building tomorrow morning at 7AM and the JV team at 8:15AM so we can travel as a groups to the field.  Varsity and Jr. Varsity teams will be wearing their WHITE JERSEYS because Epping wears red.

The snowbelt teams (grades 3-6) will be at home hosting Claremont on Sunday (9/26).  The 5/6 grade game will begin at Noon and the 3/4/5 grade game starts at around 2:30PM.  Players need to be at the field at least one our prior to the start times so the can warm up for the game.   Claremont has red game jerseys so we need to wear our WHITE JERSEYS.

Beginning tonight (9/21) practices will be a half hour shorter, from 5:30-7PM.  This change should allow the kids a little extra time for homework now that school is well underway. 

Progress reports are right around the corner and as usual we would love to see them if possible so we can help emphasize the importance of school.   The kids can simply bring a copy of their progress report to practice once they get them.

Please note that the following changes have been made to the game schedule:

• 3/4/5 Grade team VS MV on 10/9 has been changed to 10/10 at 1:30PM

Equipment Handout is tomorrow morning at the practice field on River Road.  Players should be dropped off at 8AM in the second or southern parking lot.  Please DO NOT drop kids off from the street as it poses a safety danger.  Our plan is to get the players suited up and then have them call for a ride so please stay near the phone.  If you do not hear from us then plan on picking the kids up at 11 AM.  IMPORTANT: When you arrive to pick up your player you need to visit the check out table and sign the equipment release form.  The Parent Code of Conduct form also requires a signature this year and if you need one, CLICK HERE to download it.

Don`t forget, our Parent Orientation is on Thursday, August 5th - 7PM at the Bow High School football field.  We will cover all the details about our program and have staff on hand to answer questions.  If you are missing any forms please bring them with you.  See you on the 5th!

The 2010 Varsity & Jr. Varsity schedules have been posted and you can view them on the Schedules page.  The schedule for the Snowbelt teams will be posted as soon as we have it.

*Please keep in mind that all the games on the schedule are subject to change with out notice and quite frequently do.  Many times they get switched from Saturday to Sunday because of school conflicts.  Please check the schedule often.

A board meeting is scheduled for April 5th to finalize all the important dates for the upcoming season.  After which, we will update the website events calendar ASAP.

Congratulations to the JV team on a great season!!! 2009 GSFL JV Champions!

Last night we had our annual Varsity/JV Players VS the Staff & Parents touch football game. As usual the adults handled the youngsters, not with blazing speed or athleticism, but with wisdom! The final score was 30 to 12 in favor of the adults, who remain UNDEFEATED in the event! No Varsity or JV players were available for comment.

Come join us for a team cookout and family fun day on August 22nd at 5PM. The event will be held at Gosling Field on Albin Rd.

Enjoy some good food with good friends, while supporting our kids. There will be a $1 donation per person and we´ll have the regular concessions menu. Players get in for free and also get a free meal deal! There is plenty of room for the kids to run around so bring a lawn chair!
